Side Utility Extension, Re-render & Patio in Barrow
Barrow, Suffolk

A leaking 20-year-old conservatory replaced with a proper masonry utility room under a warm-deck flat roof, the whole bungalow re-rendered in silicone render, and a new sandstone patio laid across the back. See more of our work around Barrow.
The old conservatory had reached the end of its life: leaking, past repair, and not much use as a room. The client needed a decent-sized utility instead, so we took the conservatory down and built a traditional masonry extension in its place with a warm-deck flat roof — insulated above the deck, so there's no cold roof void and no condensation risk.
While we were there the house's render was cracking and coming away in patches. We stripped it all back and applied a new silicone render to the whole bungalow, which is flexible, breathable and doesn't need repainting, so the extension and the original house now read as one.
The old patio was tired too, so we finished with hard landscaping across the back of the property in the client's choice of sandstone paving. Twelve weeks for the lot, working from the architect's drawings.
