Ground Floor Refurbishment in Westley

The existing layout didn't work for the household: a cramped kitchen, no utility space and no downstairs toilet. We stripped the ground floor back to brick and started again, working from the architect's drawings.

The new kitchen is laid out around a central island with an oak worktop, in a sage-green shaker style with a range cooker and patterned splashback tiles. A separate utility room in deep navy takes the laundry out of the kitchen, and a new WC was created where there was none before — which meant running new drainage under the floor.

First and second fix plumbing and electrics, full re-plaster, engineered flooring throughout, new oak doors, skirting and architraves, and the kitchen, utility and tiling all fitted by us. Sixteen weeks start to finish.
