Rear Extension, Bay Window & Living Room Refurb in Barningham
Barningham, Suffolk

A run-down conservatory replaced with a masonry dining-room extension under a hand-cut vaulted roof with Velux windows, plus a replacement bay window and roof and a re-plastered living room. See more of our work around Ixworth.
The house had no dining room, and what it did have was a tired conservatory that nobody used. We took that down and built a proper masonry extension in its place — brick to match the bungalow, a hand-cut pitched roof vaulted inside for height, and two Velux roof windows so the room stays bright even with the garden doors closed.
While we were on site the old bay window at the front was leaking, so we replaced the windows and the bay roof. The living room ceiling and walls had bad cracking, so that was re-plastered too, and the whole run from living room through to the new dining room was decorated and floored as one.
Eight weeks from footings to the furniture going in, with the client's architect and a structural engineer.
